Today on the blog, we have the lovely Kieran Kramer talking about her new book, Loving Lady Marcia, and she's hosting a super sweet giveaway. But first things first, off to the interview!

Thank you so much for stopping by Bibiliophilia, Please today, Kieran! The first thing we'd like to know is which character was your favorite to write for in this story? Why?

This is a great question but impossible to answer when you love both your hero and your heroine! I can’t choose one over the other. It would be like choosing one of your own kids over the other to brag about!! Nope. Can’t do it. LOL!!!

So I’ll just say that my two favorite characters to write were Duncan and Marcia. I loved getting into their heads and figuring out what made them tick. And I truly grew to love them and was SO GLAD when they finally figured everything out!!

Which was your favorite scene to write?

One of my favorites was the one in which Marcia had to do something very brave to help someone else, and it was going to mean facing some demons she’d hoped to bury forever….

What was the hardest thing about writing this story?

The hardest thing about writing this story was riding along with the pain and writing it truthfully, and I’m not just talking about the pain of heartache in a romantic relationship. I’m also talking about the pain of heartache we experience within families. As I wrote about any of those heartaches, I felt it viscerally. I’m like everyone else—I’ve known my own personal suffering when it comes to love. But there comes a peace with facing the truth of any situation and taking it by the horns rather than running away. Running away makes things worse. No matter how hard we run, the truth will find us.

What would you say is your interesting writing quirk?

I like to write on a treadmill going very slowly. Also, when I spend time thinking about the story, I eat sunflower seeds like a baseball player. I could win a contest hands-down with any ballplayer!!! When I’m thinking, I look out the window with my cats sprawled on the sill and my dog snoring on the floor. It’s probably the most important part of my storywriting. I need alone time and silence. But when I write big scenes, I also love music.

I’d like to thank all my readers who’ve made this writing journey so special to me. And for those of you who’ve never tried one of my books, my core belief is that love changes everything.
